Rich has designed over 24 productions for Chanhassen Dinner Theatres including Oklahoma!, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Producers, Swing!, 42nd Street, Joseph…Dreamcoat, Les Misérables, Always…Patsy Cline, and the world premieres of the last five shows in Danny Goggin's Nunsense series. His work has also been seen at Park Square Theatre, Minnesota Opera, Guthrie Theater, Jungle Theater, Theater Latté Da, Illusion Theater, Cricket Theatre, Historic Pantages Theatre, Children's Theatre Company, Ordway Center, Hey City Theater, Troupe America, Plymouth Playhouse and many high schools and colleges throughout the state. Rich also designed the national tours of The Sunshine Boys starring Frank Gorshen and Dick Van Patten and The Odd Couple with "MASH" alumni Jamie Farr and William Christopher. The Star Tribune named him outstanding costume designer in 2008 for Souvenir at the Jungle Theater, and in 2004, featured him as one of nine outstanding theatre talents in the Twin Cities.
