Policies
Exchange Policy: Camp
dates may be exchanged at no charge prior to June 1 if space is
available. As of June 1, exchanges may be made up to three weeks prior
to your registered session for a $20 exchange fee. Exchanges cannot be
made within three weeks of your child’s registered session.
Cancellation Policy: No
cash refunds. If you need to cancel at any time, you will receive a
refund in the form of a Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ gift certificate for
the registration amount minus a $20 cancellation fee.

Since 1994, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres has offered musical theatre camp for kids; an educational camp program that's also terrific summertime fun. Kids and teens, ages eight to eighteen, are given opportunities to explore a wide spectrum of musical theatre components including voice, movement, costumes, scenery, stage combat, improv and more. All sessions are taught by professional members of the Chanhassen design, choreography and acting teams! The Chan DT Musical Theatre Camp student experience truly stands out above other "theatre" camp programs. |

KIDSTAR CAMP DIRECTOR, Therese Walth wants to welcome you to KidStar!
Therese is a local actress and also a certified teacher.
"MAKE SOME NOISE" (for KidStar age 5-7)
Little Kids aged 5 through 7
(must be 5 by Sept. 1, 2013.)
KidStar sessions are held from 9am to 11:30am or 1pm to 3:30pm.
We will be singing, dancing and playing our way through an extraordinarily fun camp week. Campers will learn songs and dances, create fun crafts and put on a mini-performance on the final day of camp.
KidStar will be fun for both boys and girls of
any ability level – NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Youth & Teen Camp
Morning and afternoon sessions are offered to kids and teens. They are divided into groups and rotate through different locations within our theatre complex for each type of learning. All experience levels are welcomed. In addition to being a confidence builder, our camp teaches the various fundamentals of theatre in a professional theatre environment. Participants have fun learning about the wonderful world of theatre, and making new friends! |

Youth aged 8 through 12 (must be age 8 by Sept. 1, 2013).
MORNING sessions are held from 9am to noon.
AFTERNOON sessions are held from 1pm to 4pm.
Includes songs such as: Bidin' My Time, But not for Me, Embraceable You, I got Rhythm, Someone to Watch Over Me, and They Can't Take That Away From Me.

Teen Intensive Camp
- June 24-28 Teen Intensive (Audition Required)
Teen Intensive All-Day Session is Mon-Fri from 9am to 4pm.We are bringing back our very popular Teen Intensive Camp session for ages 13-18. It is an all-day camp offering deeper concentration on scene work and musical production numbers. Students are required to audition and should prepare a musical number and monologue from a play or musical. Auditions will be held May 5. Campers will be notified by May 13 regarding their audition.

Special All-Day Session

Special All-Day Session is Mon-Fri from 9am to 4pm.
Returning in 2013, is the popular "Build-A-Musical" camp session for kids between the ages of 8-16. This session is a unique and more deeply involved camp session for kids who really love theatre. During this camp, participants write and perform their own musical. This year's theme is still to be determined. No audition required.

What to Wear: Tennis shoes or dance shoes are preferred. No clogs, flip flops or sandals, please. Shorts or slacks, no skirts or dresses.What to Bring: A bottle of water, if desired. A snack with beverage will be provided each day. Those attending an all-day session need to bring their own lunch.
