The Main Dinner Theatre

The Main Dinner Theatre is the largest of Chanhassen's three theatres. Up to 541 guests can be accommodated on the main floor of this theatre for dinner and performance, primarily at tables for six and booths for four. Large-scale musicals are the standard fare in this theatre space where productions run anywhere from six to twelve months.

The Director's Room

The Director's Room overlooks the Main Dinner Theatre offering a luxurious setting for parties of 20 - 36 guests. Your party will enjoy such amenities as: private bar and dining room, extra-comfy theatre seating and nearby meeting rooms. The Director's Room is the perfect location for a custom-tailored evening event or afternoon business meeting.

The Fireside Theatre

The Fireside Theatre is Chanhassen's second largest theatre space accommodating approximately 230 theatre guests. It is the only theatre where guests dine in separate areas and move into the theatre for the play. Guests relax in comfortable continental-style seats with ample leg-room between rows. The Fireside is home to many well-known comedies, classic plays and small musicals.

The Playhouse Theatre

The Playhouse Theatre is the most intimate of Chanhassen's theatre spaces seating about 125 guests. It was home to the record-breaking production, I Do! I Do!, which ran from 1971 - 1993 with its original cast! Throughout its 22-year-run, nearly 700,000 people attended what has come to be one of Chanhassen's claim to fame. Today, the Playhouse features comedies and small-scale musicals.

The Club

The Club, formerly known as the Courtyard Theatre comfortably accommodates about 150 guests. In the early 90s The Courtyard Theatre was remodeled, and it has now become a popular location for smaller wedding receptions/dances.

Banquet Rooms

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres also features a number of banquet rooms on its lower level. Wedding receptions, business meetings, breakfasts, luncheons and banquets are held throughout the year. Chanhassen is an excellent option for those seeking good food at reasonable prices in a unique setting. Up to 250 guests may be accommodated.

The Inglenook Dining Room

The Inglenook is one of the dining rooms that services guests attending Fireside Theatre productions. It is the only theatre space where you dine and view the play from separate locations. The Inglenook is located on the lower level of the theatre and can be accessed via ramp or staircase. The meandering tunnel will lead you to a cozy dining room where private tables accommodate your specific party size.

The Attic Dining Room

The Attic is a small dining room accommodating up to 80 guests that also services visitors attending the Fireside Theatre productions. It is located upstairs, above the main level of the theatre and is accessible via two staircases. When the dinner theatre first opened in 1968, this comfy spot was called The Actors' Attic. It was primarily a piano bar where many of the actors liked to lounge after the shows let out. Guests were always certain to mingle with the talent in this popular spot if they stayed after the show for a cocktail.

The Hogarth Lounge

The Hogarth Lounge is used as a cocktail lounge for guests to frequent pre- or post-theatre. It is named for the set of William Hogarth tinted engravings adorning its walls. These engravings are just one of two complete sets in existence. The other can be found in London's Tate Gallery.

Brindisi's Pub

The pub doubles as a combination dining room for the Fireside Theatre and cocktail lounge. In the very early days of the theatre it was called the Grape and Grain Bodega. In 1990 it was renamed Brindisi's Pub for Chanhassen Dinner Theatres' Resident Artistic Director, Michael Brindisi. It is also the primary location for special after hours cast celebrations. You may notice that just outside Brindisi's there is a patio, which is a lovely place to sit on a warm, sunny day.
