Auditions

logoChanhassen Dinner Theatres is a professional acting company presenting members of Actors' Equity Association – the professional actors’ union based in New York City. As a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres primarily employs union members. A union contract permits us to hire a very small percentage of non-union actors. Auditions are held for both union and non-union actors a few months prior to each production.


The Producers Auditions

Auditions for the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres production of The Producers will be held May 12 & 13 at the theatre for Equity and Non-Equity actors. All ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to audition.

Auditionee should prepare a song of their choice, which may be from the production, ballad or up-tempo. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music, photo, and resume. Call Mon-Fri from 9:30-3:30 at 952-934-1502 for an appointment.

Information regarding auditions will also be advertised in the Sunday Star Tribune 550 section and at www.StarTribune.com.

Open Positions:

Job Title: PHOTOGRAPHY SUPERVISOR
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: Photography Manager
Job Description: Take photographs of guests and process for sales. Work closely with Manager to oversee department. Train new employees, order supplies, etc.
Qualifications: Must be polite, friendly, have strong time management skills, and be detail orientated. Must have organizational skills, open availability, computer knowledge, and some experience in supervising. Customer service and sales skills necessary. Minimum of 4 shifts per week required.
Shifts Available: Tuesday thru Saturday: 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday: 10:30 am to 3:30 pm
Sunday: 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Job Title: VOLUNTEER TOUR GUIDE
Department: Public Relations
Reports to: PR Director
Job Description: Groups attending the theatre frequently request tours. CDT is seeking personable adults with good public speaking skills to lead tours generally on a variety of Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:30-11am. We will train. Compensated with free tickets.
Qualifications: Strong public speaking skills.
