FOOTLOOSE rocks Chanhassen!
FOOTLOOSE plays on the Main Stage and audiences are dancin' in the aisles! Brimming with exuberance, this show is happy and energizing. Broadway's smash hit musical thrills and inspires with dazzling choreography and electrifying music. Based on the classic 1984 film that captured the hearts of America, FOOTLOOSE takes place in a small Texas town where dancing has been outlawed, but all that’s about to change when Ren McCormack arrives on the scene. Beyond that, FOOTLOOSE features a moving story full of heart and healing, which builds bridges between people and breathes new life back into a community.

StarKid Event During Footloose Performance
An exciting new event was held at The New Chanhassen Theatres: StarKid!
Nothing of this magnitude has been done before in the theatres' 41 year history. We contacted over 100 local high schools to participate. One student was chosen from each school for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
Each student attended two rehearsals, completed a photo shoot (with the photo submitted to their local newspaper), performed during the musical finale (in the StarKid large group performance) of "Footloose," and also had a walk-on role in an April or May performance of "Footloose!"
The main large group performance was Tuesday night, March 30th. Thank YOU to all the STARKIDs for making this event so AMAZING.
Musical Numbers included in our production
"On Any Sunday," "Girl Gets Around," "I Can't Stand Still," "Somebody's Eyes," "Learning to Be Silent," "Holding Out For a Hero," "Heaven Help Me," "I'm Free," "Still Rockin'," "Let's Hear It for the Boy," "Can You Find It in Your Heart?," "Mama Says (You Can't Back Down)," "Almost Paradise," "Dancing Is Not a Crime," and "Footloose"
Special Performances
Signed (ASL) and Audio Described services are available for specific Main Stage performances. Ticket prices are discounted and NOT available online. Patrons seeking an Audio Described or Signed service should contact the box office for performance dates and proper seating location.
