Always…Patsy Cline has enjoyed great success with audiences across the United States including a successful Off-Broadway run. It has been one of the most produced musicals in America according to American Theatre Magazine. Always…Patsy Cline has also been enjoyed internationally in Canada, Europe and Australia. Always…Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who tragically died at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline's friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in 1961 and continued a unique pen-pal relationship with Cline until her death.

The musical, complete with down home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits including "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Sweet Dreams" and "Walking After Midnight"…27 songs in all. The show's title was inspired by Cline's letters to Seger, which were consistently signed “Love Always…Patsy Cline.” Directed by MICHAEL BRINDISI

Cast FYI...

Many of our guests have asked, "So who is playing Patsy Cline?" We thought that deserved a response since Patsy Cline was truly a country music legend with an enormous fan-following. We're pleased to have found her in Monica Heuser. We've included some additional cast information as well.

Monica Heuser, in the role of Patsy Cline, makes her Chanhassen debut – but Heuser is no stranger to playing the character of the one and only Miss Patsy Cline! Heuser first set foot in the Twin Cities when she was cast as Patsy Cline in Troupe America's 1998 National Tour of A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline. It was the very first time she had performed the role and since then she has performed the role every year, somewhere, for more than a decade. In fact, she is officially sanctioned by the Estate of Patsy Cline! That's one very special "Patsy" audiences will not want to miss! Heuser's other notable area credits include the 2007 Ivey Award-winning Love, Janis (Ordway) and the National Tour of Menopause The Musical.

Cline's pen pal friend, Louise Seger, is played by the diversely talented and award-winning actor Peggy O'Connell. O'Connell has a long history performing with Chanhassen Dinner Theatres dating back to 1980 when she debuted as Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun. Since then, O'Connell has performed across the country from New York to Los Angeles appearing on Broadway opposite Tommy Tune as Mickey in My One and Only, and on television in the popular television series "Northern Exposure." She can now be seen on stages across the Twin Cities from the Guthrie to Chanhassen.

AN AMAZING 6-piece country band appears on stage providing both vocal and instrumental accompaniment.
