CLOSES SATURDAY!
The original cast returns as Joseph bursts onto Chanhassen's Main Stage in his dazzling coat of many colors! Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's family classic recently played on the Main Stage (Nov. '07 – March '08). A resounding audience favorite, Chanhassen will restage it for a short summertime run. This colorful, upbeat retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his uncanny abilities to interpret dreams and his designer coat, sings out to young and old alike with a score filled with wall-to-wall hits including: "Close Every Door," "Any Dream Will Do," "Those Canaan Days," "Go, Go, Go Joseph" and dozens more.
Directed by MICHAEL BRINDISI.

YOUR CHILD on stage!
Two lucky children (aged 8-12) will be chosen from the audience to appear in each performance! They will be costumed and be on stage with the acting company throughout the production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. And children will receive a souvenir photograph of their onstage Chanhassen debut!
If you have a child interested in participating, the day of your performance, you must register for the drawing with the theatre department representative located near the Main Stage entrance before being seated for dinner.
Children must be responsible and old enough to follow instructions and remain involved throughout the performance. No memorization or singing is required. Please, if your child is shy or introverted, don’t sign them up for consideration. We want them to enjoy this experience.
Content Statement
This highly upbeat musical is based upon the familiar Bible story of Joseph found in Genesis Chapter 39. It is an enjoyable, secularized, and modern-telling of the story suitable for all ages. As in the Broadway production, there is a short seduction scene as Potiphar’s wife attempts to seduce Joseph, but ultimately, he resists. This scene contains seductive costuming/suggestive choreography.
